Jessica Hepburn is an award-winning author, arts producer and adventure activist, and one of the UK’s leading voices on fertility, family and endurance sport and we are super excited to be welcoming her to Collected to talk about her most recent book, Save Me From the Waves.
---
Jessica Hepburn had never been the sporty type, hating exercise, loving food and relaxing on the sofa. But fraught with the trauma of miscarriage, divorce and loneliness, she amazed herself by becoming the first woman to complete the Sea, Street, Summit Challenge, swimming the English Channel, running the London Marathon and climbing Everest. From setting out as an arts producer, Jessica has become health campaigner, endurance athlete and multi award -winning writer. Her inspiring story will encourage all of us charting the choppy waters of life, to power up and sail through the storm.
Save Me from the Waves is the story of her extraordinary journey, from the streets of London to the summit of Mount Everest, fuelled by listening to every episode of her favourite radio show – Desert Island Discs. An amazing adventure set to a soundtrack of unforgettable songs, it encourages everyone to live big and bravely when life doesn’t go to plan - a heart-warming, relatable and inspiring story of how an adventure will always change your life for the better, whether far away or closer to home.
