BOOK CLUB & SOCIAL CLUB - monthly; get in touch to book your space

Each month we run a book club, bringing authors, writers, and translators along to join the discussion. We also have a monthly social club - a place for you to come, alone or with friends, and chat about some of our (and your!) favourite books and drink some wine (or beer or coffee or softs or tea!) and create a wonderful social reading community.

We're so excited about the latest publication from the brilliant Persephone Books that we're going with it for our November Social Club read. A gritty Northern version of the Cinderella narrative, from Newcastle's own Winifred Watson, Hop, Step and Jump is a story of upward mobility, courtship and coming-of-age. It might seem an odd pick, but give a Persephone a chance if you’ve never read one before!
