Alec Ryrie is Professor of the History of Christianity at Durham University and a Fellow of the British Academy. His previous books include Unbelievers: An Emotional History of Doubt (2019). In this latest book, Alec examines  our fixation with Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, and the unravelling of post-war moral consensus today.
